I took my first musical saw class yesterday with Danny Moynahan at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. And today I made a carrying case for my bow out of an old batik skirt from Bali <3
Danny suggested converting a rifle case to carry the saw... but I guess I can worry about that after I get good enough to warrant leaving our backyard hahaha =)

you are probably the only girl i know who has a saw in a batik case.
Do you know about the annual musical saw festival in NYC? You might want to show off your batik case there (and play and take the workshop :)

Might be able to make a case for the saw out of the fabric too... but I'll have to find something to line it with that wont get destroyed by the saw <3 Right now its just holding my bow =)
